I'm on a mission to create the ultimate cookie. My sweetheart only like oatmeal raisen cookies, but I'm determined to find something else to tempt his sweet tooth.
The first variation came about because I had a cold and I wanted to bake (usually happens when I don't feel well-- I cook). I made a basic cookie with peanut butter, cocoa powder, chocolate chips, caramel chips, and finely chopped walnuts (just a few). Kevin loved these. My sweetheart did not. My MIL actually liked them quite a lot. I thought they were a bit 'fluffy', due to me adding too many eggs.
I didn't start with a recipe, I just creamed butter and sugar together and played around from there... I figure it's going to take several tries to get a GREAT cookie. My son does not mind at all!
